What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a government scheme which allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by you. This means that we can claim back 25p for every £1 donated from the government, on your behalf. This boosts the total value of the donation by 25%! All at no extra cost to yourself!

Gift Aid Gift Aid Gift Aid - Yes - I am a UK taxpayer and would like Lote Tree Foundation to reclaim tax on all donations I have made within the last four years and all donations that I make hereafter. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give away, we get an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 as long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that can make and it doesn’t cost you a thing! I understand I must pay enough income tax and/or capital gains tax each tax year to cover the amount of Gift Aid that all charities and community amateur sports clubs claim on my donations in that tax year, and I am responsible for paying any difference. Please remember to let us know if your tax status, name or address change or if you wish to cancel your Gift Aid declaration.
