Dr Shoaib Ahmed Malik is an instructor and researcher of Philosophy, Science and Religion, and he has taught at various universities and seminaries across the world (US, Canada, UK, Germany, Turkey, UAE, Jordan, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia, to name a few).

 

He graduated as the top scorer when he completed his BEng (University of Bath, UK). He was also one of the first Muslim students to do the MSc in Philosophy, Science and Religion (University of Edinburgh, UK). He has two PhDs. The first PhD is in Chemical Engineering (University of Nottingham, UK). The second PhD is in Theology (St Mary’s University, UK). He is currently completing his ʿĀlimiyya studies. He is a Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE (previously known the Higher Education Academy) and Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR).

 

He is the author of Islam and Evolution: Al-Ghazālī and the Modern Evolutionary Paradigm (Routledge), which was chosen as the best academic book of science and religion by the ISSR in 2022. He is currently writing several articles, book chapters, and books on Science and Religion.
